The Middle Campus is where our 3–9-year-old children (on average) live on Project Canaan. This campus holds 5 Emseni homes, each of which hold 40 children. The Middle Campus has a Tree-fort, 4 playgrounds, inflatable pools and a large kitchen/dining hall called, The Oasis, for the children on this campus. Once a child is 8-10-years-old, they move to the Upper Campus until the age of 18.
How to Sponsor a Child
Help us invest in the future of these children by becoming a monthly child sponsor (Angel) or providing a one-time gift by clicking the button below.
What is an "Emseni" home?
Each home at the Middle Campus is called Emseni, which means “Grace,” and is numbered 1-5. As each child hits a milestone in age or developmentally, they move up from Emseni 1 through Emseni 5.

I decided to sponsor a child at Project Canaan because I believe every child should receive nutrition, an education, a home, a family, and love... and that is what they are given at Project Canaan. Because of this place, these children are finally being given what every child should have the right to in life. If I can be a small part of that love it's worth every penny.

I loved the fact that we could travel to this country and see the difference our small donation makes to these beautiful children and meet them and the staff. My daughter and I cannot wait to go back to visit again soon. Our sweet little Angel is growing so fast and all the other children we met.

I sponsor a child through Heart for Africa to make a difference in the world of a child, to give a child an opportunity to feel loved, free from poverty and have opportunities for education.

I’m a child sponsor for Heart for Africa because I’ve seen firsthand the profound difference this charity is making in the lives of children in a country that has been shattered by the impacts of HIV/AIDS. The child sponsorship program creates change—and I encourage you to act now and become a Heart for Africa child sponsor. You’ll never regret it.

As donors and supporters of Heart for Africa, we know that our donations are making a real difference in the lives of Heart for Africa’s children. We can see it in their growth, their smiles, their well-being and the hope that lives within them.
